The first event. held on April 2nd, was our very first student-run "Candidates Night," hosted by student James Levasseur. The event was organized to inform residents on candidates and their views for the upcoming town election. With the input of residents via rocklandcandidatesnight@gmail.com, town officials and WRPS staff, candidates answered questions and debated on certain subjects. The election was held on the 12th, and the results were finalized. Some of the notable outcomes include Lori Childs and Steve O'Donnell Jr being named members of the select board, and Peter Ewell was named Park Commissioner, although the new fire station and fire truck ballot items were not passed. The results of the election can be found here:

The second event was the second annual "Rockland's Got Talent" talent show, where RHS students and faculty were able to showcase off skills to an impressed audience. The event was a fundraiser for both WRPS and the Music Department, and proved to be a success, with many acts being considered highlights. WRPS DJ Rocco from Rockland MC'd the event, showing off his fast talent in introductions and improvisational skills. The winner of the event was a band, The Yin and the Yangs, who provided an original song, and wooed the whole audience. The event was held in the Rockland High School auditorium, and proved to be a night to remember.
